Monitors provide large, easy-to-read LCD displays with a second display line for indication of temperature or other operational information. For those applications where results in resistivity units are preferred, Q45C2 monitors can be programmed to display readings in Meg-ohm units instead of microSiemens. The monitor employs 2-Electrode conductivity sensors with low cell constants to provide continuous measurements from 0-20 to 0-2,000 microSiemens. The 2-Electrode sensors are specifically designed for use in ultra-pure water and nonfouling applications. The sensors are available in several mounting configurations including 316SS compression fittings or sanitary-style. Adaptable to either Optical or Galvanic D.O. sensors, this unit is ideal for installations where only analog signals are needed and low power operation is preferred. For applications requiring AC operation, relay outputs, automatic sensor cleaning, or digital communication, refer to ATI’s model Q46D brochure. ATI’s optical element is designed to last a minimum of 2-years in normal operation, but will more often provide a life of 3-5 years, unless mechanical damage occurs. Optical sensors do not require flow across the sensing element so accurate measurements can be made more accurately in systems with low flows. Unlike some optical sensors, this sensor is not degraded by exposure to sunlight. The Galvanic Dissolved Oxygen sensor uses a rugged 5 mil Teflon membrane to resist mechanical abrasions and tears. The membrane serves as a barrier to allow molecular oxygen to diffuse into the reaction cell where it is reduced, producing a small current which is proportional to oxygen concentration. -
